Paul Kratter is a Signature Member of the Laguna Plein Air Painters Association (LPAPA). Paul’s paintings embody the light, atmosphere, and emotion that only an accomplished artist can convey. He comes from an illustration background that instills strong drawing and design skills and a robust belief in graphic shapes and storytelling. This is prevalent in Paul’s work as a skillful and accomplished landscape artist.
After graduating with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Illustration from the Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, California, Paul spent 22 years as a freelance illustrator in advertising, concentrating mainly on sports and wildlife subjects, working for the National Football League, various baseball teams, the Nature Company, and for zoos, aquariums and museums. Paul has participated in a number of prestigious Plein Air events across the country. He is a respected landscaper and wildlife painter. Paul lives in Northern California.
